Integrated healthcare communications agency GCI Health has announced its expansion into Germany.
This follows the internal merger of another WPP agency, Hering Schuppener Healthcare to become part of GCI.
Hering Schuppener Healthcare, which has headquarters in Hamburg and an office in Düsseldorf, will add 30 additional healthcare specialists to GCI Health.
Hering Schuppener is one of the largest healthcare communications agencies in Germany, and has worked with some of the industry’s biggest companies.
This transition will also expand GCI Health’s presence in Europe, adding two offices in Germany alongside the company's UK operations.

Horst Müther, co-owner and managing director of Hering Schuppener, along with Katharina Tolkmitt, will continue to manage the operation in Germany and shape its future development. They will report to Wendy Lund, GCI Health CEO.

“The pharmaceutical and medical device industries represent a key sector of the healthcare industry in Germany, which makes now the right time to expand our European capabilities with this renowned team,” said Lund.
“Given their reputation and the strong partnership we have enjoyed with Hering Schuppener over the years, we are excited to welcome them to GCI Health. Horst is an exceptional and passionate leader with an incredible record of building teams who are well-known for client service excellence,”she added.
GCI Health’s expansion into Germany follows a period of significant growth, and an expansion earlier this year into Singapore.
