London-based consultancy Hanover Communications has won a comms and public affairs brief from Steris.
Following a competitive pitch the agency will assist the infection prevention firm in engaging with UK policymakers and NHS leaders.
In doing so it will aim to highlight the contribution that hospital specialty services make to high quality, safe and cost-efficient healthcare.
Andrew Harrison, global healthcare director at Hanover, said: “Steris is one of a number of new cross-practice healthcare clients who utilise Hanover's communications, market access and public affairs capabilities.
“We're investing in our integrated offer and it's good to see this investment starting to pay off. In particular, we've made and continue to make a number of strategic hires in the area of healthcare and brand communications.”
The agency's new client was formed in November 2015 through the combination of the US-based Steris Corporation and the UK's Synergy Health, and is legally domiciled in the UK.
Gerry Reis, senior vice president of government affairs at Steris, said: “We chose Hanover because of their in-depth understanding of the UK healthcare environment and good chemistry between our respective teams. We're looking forward to working with them to tell our story to key constituents.”
