Haymarket Media acquires digital agency

Gains Group DCA from contract sales giant PDI

haymarket_300_200Haymarket Media has acquired digital communications agency Group DCA, expanding its coverage with healthcare providers.

Group DCA will operate as an independent entity within PRI Healthcare Solutions (PRI HCS), the custom medical communications division of Haymarket Media.

Lee Maniscalco, CEO of Haymarket Media, commented: “Adding Group DCA to our already robust digital offerings will position us strategically for continued leadership in healthcare communication.

“Group DCA's products naturally complement our own digital products and services and our cultures of high-energy creativity and innovation are highly compatible and mutually reinforcing. It is a perfect strategic and cultural fit, one that will help to accelerate our growth.”

The assets acquired through the transaction include Group DCA's proprietary DIAGRAM - DIAlog, GRAphics and Motion - platform and The Medical Bag, a website honed for health care professional salongside staff to support the business. The website will continue to run as an independent platform that also supports e-detailing programs.

Ron Scalici, the first Group DCA employee to join the organisation in 1999 and most recently chief innovations officer at PRI, will oversee Group DCA's every day operations as general manager.

Scalici added: “Joining Haymarket is an exciting opportunity for Group DCA. Integrating our DIAGRAM eDetailing platform and the Medical Bag website with Haymarket's expansive reach to healthcare providers will benefit out existing clients as well as Haymarket's.”

Group DCA will retain its name and its operations and services will continue.
