Bangalore-headquartered Indegene Lifesystems has acquired Aptilon, a Canadian multi-channel physician marketing services business.
Based in Montreal, Aptilon provides e-marketing services for a number of pharma, biotech and healthcare clients in the US, Canada and Europe.
The group's platform offerings provide targeted impressions and interactions, 'click-to-talk' video and mobile detailing, digital access 'on-demand' channels and permission-based email services.
"By combining Indegene's Virtual/Inside Sales and MCM capabilities with Aptilon's technology platforms, significant physician reach, and multi-year data on physician behaviour in the North American and European market, clients can accelerate their physician engagement strategies and deploy true end-to-end world-class programmes," said Manish Gupta, CEO, Indegene.
As businesses evolve their marketing and sales structures over the next four to five years, intelligent, robust, and outcome-driven multi-channel marketing (MCM) and virtual/inside sales programmes are estimated to represent $10bn, according to Indegene.
Denis Martineau, president, Aptilon, added: "Through this proposed transaction, our clients will gain access to an accelerated approach to drive integrated physician engagement programmes. In addition, our clients can leverage global expertise and infrastructure assets in US, Europe and emerging markets to enhance productivity as well as effectiveness."
Upon completion of the acquisition, Aptilon's multi-channel, e-detailing, and physician marketing services businesses will be rolled under Indegene Aptilon, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Indegene Lifesystems.
