Tony Page is to become managing director of Lloydspharmacy, the UK-based chemists with 1,650 stores across the UK. He will take up his position on February 21, replacing former managing director Richard Smith.
Tony enters the organisation with a 23 year career in the retail sector, spending two of those as the managing director for Woolworths. He most recently held the role of commercial director for Russian supermaket Lenta, where he helped lead the increase of company turnover.
Speaking of his appointment, Tony said he was "really excited about joining Lloydspharmacy" and is "looking forward to leading the business" as it embarks on the next phase of growth.
With the UK healthcare market undergoing a series of significant changes, Lloydspharmacy said Tony's years of experience in leadership will help diversify its income, firmly establishing them as a leading healthcare provider.
