McCann Health joins Spanish advertising agency network

Marketing firm signs up to Spanish Association of Advertising Agencies of Health (AEAPS)

The association represents the main healthcare communications agencies active in Spain – members include Havas Health, Ogilvy Healthworld and Sudler & Hennessey.

Part of McCann WorldGroup, McCann Health is a network of health communications agencies, and has been active in Spain for the last 15 years, with offices in Madrid and Barcelona. By joining AEAPS, it hopes to reinforce market awareness of its work, client services director Loris Marchet told PMLiVE.

“We want to continue to be perceived as a healthcare specialised company even more now that the compliance with the ethical code of Farmaindustria is a must-have that clients are asking for. And the relation between AEAPS with Farmaindustria is very close,” he said.

“We also want to increase contact with stakeholders through activities such as education and forums, and AEAPS gives us the opportunity do so. Finally, it’s very important that the specialised health advertising industry joins forces, to show themselves as key players in health marketing.”

McCann Health Spain’s clients include Novartis, Boehringher Ingelheim and Abbott. Recent projects include work for Boehringer’s respiratory business, creating awareness of cardiovascular care for the ProCnic foundation and oncology and rheumatoid arthritis projects for Roche and BMS.
