Napp hires Dietmar Leitner as managing director
Former general manager at Mundipharma succeeds Antony Mattessich
Dietmar Leitner, former general manager at Mundipharma Gesellschaft, has joined Napp Pharmaceuticals as managing director.
The announcement ends an eight month search to fill the position following Antony Mattessich's decision to leave the company in May 2011 to become regional director Europe at Mundipharma International.
Leitner has spent 16 years working in the pharmaceutical industry, and worked as division manager at Abbott Laboratories prior joining Mundipharma.
In his new role, he will help lead UK-based pain therapy specialists Napp as it looks to grow in oncology and respiratory medicine.
Leitner said: "There are significant challenges to be faced, but also opportunities for us to work together for the benefit of patients, and I am looking forward to working with my colleagues here to continue our success."
