Global doctors alliance Networks in Health has partnered with Merqurio to extend its reach into Italy.

Set up in 2006 and open to both doctors and pharmacists, Merqurio adds more than 160,000 new doctors to the 2 million-strong Networks in Health membership.

Headquartered in Naples, Merqurio is made up of three companies – Merqurio Pharma, Merqurio Servizi and Merqurio Editore – which work to help pharma and other healthcare organisations engage with its doctor community via a range of sales and marketing support services, including content and web marketing, publishing and market analysis.

Networks in Health was set up in 2011 by doctors.net.uk and now has more than 300 doctors acting as advisers and clinical information contributors. It is the UK’s largest and most active online network of medical professionals.

Networks in Health manages promotional or disease awareness programmes centrally for pharma and other healthcare organisations, delivering them locally via the trusted doctor channels in individual countries.

Initially working with partners across Europe, Networks in Health has since expanded to include Latin America and Australia, and has close links with doctor communities in the US, Canada and Asia. Its partner community includes iVrach.com (Russia), medigate.net (Korea) and ehealthspace.org (Australia).

‘We are delighted to welcome Merqurio to the Networks in Health alliance. This new partnership will help our clients to target the Italian medical market more effectively by giving them valuable insights into what these doctors want and need, and helping them to tailor their resources accordingly,” said Beverly Stainsby, international account director for Networks in Health.
