New marcomms agency opens in London's Tech City

Couch is developing a client list from across pharma, private and public sectors

A new integrated marketing and communications agency called Couch has opened in East London’s Tech City.

Founded by Kate and Ash Rishi, Couch is in talks with companies from the pharmaceutical, private and public sectors, offering services including strategy and planning, branding, creative design, mobile marketing, digital marketing and PR.

“All marketing activity needs to be fully aligned, and the only way to make sure this happens is by using one agency to deliver it all,” explained Ash Rishi.

Ash Rishi has a background in healthcare communications, having worked as an account director at Ogilvy & Mather. He later helped start the training solutions company Cetas Kinetic, before focusing on the launch of Couch.

Katie Rishi is co-founder and joint managing director of the agency and has a background in business training, stress management and NLP coaching.

“The advent of social means that the traditional model in which different strands of marketing operate in silos simply doesn’t cut it anymore,” continued Ash Rishi.

“Working with a single agency means that whether they want a billboard designing or a new product launched, clients get to work with one team who know their business inside out.

“It’s more cohesive, the client doesn’t need to waste time briefing multiple agencies on the same thing and they don’t have to worry about a lack of co-operation between competing agencies threatening the success of their campaign.

“It is also considerably cheaper. Working with us will cost about a third less than working with multiple agencies to deliver exactly the same thing therefore providing true ROI for clients,” he said.
