Omnicom combines BBDO, DDB and TBWA studio teams

New York departments will operate as part of the eg+network

eg plus OmnicomOmnicom has brought together the studio production teams of three of its key New York offices.

The teams, from BBDO, DDB, and TBWA, are now based together at 1285 Avenue of the Americas, with satellite offices to be set up in agency locations as needed.  The combined teams will operate as part of the eg+ network, Omnicom said in a statement.

Global advertising and marketing communications group Omnicom launched eg+ last year, combining content marketing company E-Graphics with Hub Plus, the group's global advertising production agency, in order to start bringing its implementation and production capabilities under one roof.

The group said: “Adding the studio production teams from BBDO, DDB and TBWA is a natural next step in this evolution toward one centralised, global offering. Agency studio consolidations into eg+ have occurred within the last year in Singapore, London, and San Francisco.”

Omnicom added that by merging its collective agency production resources into eg+, it will “be able to provide a more comprehensive resource capability to clients spanning all channels of communication”.

“Pooling these resources addresses dramatically increasing client needs in terms of content creation, local adaptation and real-time marketing,” the group concluded.

eg+'s areas of expertise include change management, print, digital, technology, and moving image.

With 1,200 employees and offices in 14 countries, it is headed up by chief executive Paul Hosea, who formerly ran E-Graphics. Meanwhile, managing director George Ashbrook oversees eg+'s New York operations, reporting to eg+ president of the Americas, Miles Peacock.

eg+ expects to see some restructuring in terms of titles and responsibilities, but is not anticipating redundancies on the back of the New York move.
