Double Helix Development has announced two entry-level appointments as part of a new graduate trainee programme. Lorna Bedford and Victoria Ward, both science graduates from Imperial College, will be the first trainee research executives entered into the new scheme. Lorna has a degree in microbiology and Victoria also has a background in biology and can also speak Japanese.
Succinct Healthcare Communications has hired three new staff members. Yasmeen Arif joins as an editorial assistant after graduating from Newcastle University with a degree in medical microbiology and immunology. Kate Mitchell has joined as meetings co-ordinator. Before joining the agency, Kate worked for Nestle Waters and has experience in sales and events organisation. Janis Smy joins the communications agency as medical writer and editor with over 25 yearsí experience as a journalist working for a wide range of titles including Doctor, Hospital Doctor and the Nursing Times.
