Publicis Healthcare Communications Group (PHCG) has acquired London-based strategic healthcare consultancy Resolute Communications. Resolute will be merged with Publicis Life Brands and the new entity, which will be renamed Publicis Life Brands Resolute, will employ almost 100 communications specialists.
Resolute was founded in 2002 by Paul Blackburn and Anna Korving and provides healthcare communications programmes across the strategic consulting, medical education, and media and public relations disciplines.
Blackburn and Korving will become joint managing directors of Publicis Life Brands Resolute and will report to Alain Sarraf, president of PHCG Europe.

Korving said: "By working together with Publicis Life Brands, we now have the ability to deliver fully integrated health communications across the marketing mix. We can seamlessly integrate strategic communications with branding and digital solutions all with the ultimate goal of making a real difference to our clients."
Commenting on the merger, Sarraf said: "Resolute Communications' proven capabilities in strategic programming and PR are a perfect marriage with Publicis Life Brands with its strong advertising, branding and digital experience."
According to Blackburn, Resolute was founded with the vision of becoming the most influential health communications agency. "It is a vision we share with Publicis Healthcare Communications Group.
