S&H wins Doctors' Choice Awards

Sudler & Hennessey has been named a winner of a 2010 Doctors' Choice Awards for its work involving the launch of Simcor

Sudler & Hennessey (S&H) has been named a winner of a 2010 Doctors' Choice Awards. The award recognised S&H's work in the cardiovascular area for the launch of Simcor (simvastati/niacin).

The Doctors' Choice Awards, an annual study developed by Association of Medical Media (AMM), researches physician attitudes toward product advertising. This is done through web-based surveys covering 325 advertisements in 21 specialities, from the 86 most widely-advertised products in the previous calendar year.

The study was conducted by Readex Research, and drew more than 4,600 responses. This is the seventh year AMM has conducted the Doctors' Choice research.

Rob Rogers, co-CEO for S&H in the Americas said: "We are extremely proud of our talented staff and the many effective campaigns developed at S&H each year, a focus on creative that works has led to increased client satisfaction. This award is particularly meaningful as it is judged by the audience that truly matters."

The advertisements were judged on their ability to communicate quickly and clearly; help with clinical decisions; prompt physicians to seek further information or re-examine treatment; add to information generated by company sales representatives; and underscore the value of the product prescribed.
