Munich-based agency Serviceplan Health & Life has claimed the top spot in new ranking of creative agencies in Germany.

Developed by Germany’s Healthcare Marketing magazine, the creative ranking awards points to agencies according to both the magazine’s own criteria and the number of competitions won.

While the rankings are updated as and when new competition wins are added, as of February 26, Serviceplan Health & Life, with 1368 points, was some way ahead of second-placed Peix Healthcare Communications, with 750. Schmittgall was in third place, with 746 points.

To put Serviceplan Health & Life’s achievements into context, the 10th-placed agency, Isgro health communication, has 232 points, with the scoring tailing off significantly beyond the top 10.

Among the agency’s standout campaigns were its ‘Frauen Gegan Gewalt: beating facts’ domestic violence advert for BFF and its ‘Gesundheit in besten Händen’ for AOK Bundersverband, which took the special prize at the Econ Jahr der Werburg and were shortlisted at Comprix, respectively.

“We are extremely proud of this result and are incredibly motivated to do even better,” said Serviceplan Health & Life creative director Mike Rogers.

“In my opinion it’s all about going the extra mile. It’s always been part of our agency philosophy not only to just fulfil the briefing but to go further whenever possible and present the client with on top creative ideas,” he told PMLiVE.

“This often pays off in two ways; our clients feel happy at being with a creatively inspiring agency and we get the chance to produce award-winning work.”

Rogers will head the OTC jury at the COMPRIX for the first time this year and has been selected as a member of the jury at the first Cannes Health Lions awards. He runs Serviceplan Health & Life alongside managing partners Florian Bernsdorf and Hubert Sichler.

The 20 person-strong agency is a member and partner of Indigenus, the largest global network of independent healthcare creative agencies. Clients include Boehringer Ingelheim, Krewel Meuselbach and AOK.
