The finalists for this year's Global Awards have been announced, with 145 entries making the cut thanks to their creative achievement in healthcare and wellness communications.
Work from 24 countries around the world was judged in live sessions by the Global Awards executive jury in New York, led by Robin Shapiro, North America group president for TBWA\WorldHealth.
Among the campaigns shortlisted for their achievement in communicating wellness beyond the barriers of language and culture is GSW Worldwide's epilepsy awareness initiative, 'The Empathy Project', on behalf of UCB. The project used virtual reality technology to allow healthcare professionals to experience an epilepsy seizure firsthand.
Sudler & Hennessey London's diabetes iPad game, 'The Journey Ahead Challenge' for Trajenta EASD Congress Activity also made the cut. The campaign saw players earn 'fuel' in the driving game by answering questions about diabetes and Trajenta's brand.
Other agencies in the running for a Global Awards trophy include FCB Health, Langland, McCann Erickson Japan, Ogilvy CommonHealth and Saatchi & Saatchi.
The winners will be announced at two ceremonies on 17 November at The New York Academy of Sciences, New York and the X Studio in Sydney, Australia respectively.
