Agency will be tasked with positioning the Alliance as a key global health connector

tonic life communicationsTonic Life Communications has become the global agency of record for the European Connected Health Alliance (ECHAlliance).

The ECHAlliance is a not-for-profit organisation that strives to aid stakeholder connections, strengthen partnerships and drive sustainable change in the delivery of connected health solutions.

Tonic has been appointed as a strategic communications partner and has been given the task of positioning the ECHAlliance as the key trusted connection in the global health and social care field and support the implementation of connected health solutions worldwide.

Mary Smiddy, global CEO for Tonic, commented: “The empowered patient, ageing populations, together with rising healthcare costs are fuelling the convergence of technology, med tech, consumer and pharma to develop and deliver innovative connected health solutions.

“Transformative change such as this requires equally innovative multi stakeholder communications to help support and advance this movement. Tonic is delighted to have met such a kindred spirit in the ECHAlliance, advancing their shared vision to improve health and social care.”

The Alliance represents many pharma companies, health and wellbeing businesses, governmental organisations and health insurance brands alongside connecting over twenty health ecosystems across Europe, North America and China.

Through the ecosystems, the Alliance organises more than 100 gatherings each year, creating around 15,000 ‘connections’ between organisations.

Brian O’Connor, founder of the ECHAlliance, said: “We decided now was the moment to partner with a global professional communication company and Tonic was the obvious choice for the ECHAlliance’s global PR agency of record.

“Their established reputation in healthcare communications, coupled with their ambition and understanding in the connected healthcare space made them the perfect partner. I very much look forward to working with them long-term to take the ECHAlliance to the next level.”
