Under one umbrella

Huntsworth Health gathers all its advertising, med ed and PR agencies together under one brand name

Huntsworth Health has merged its medical communications, healthcare advertising agencies and brand consultancy to form one new group under the Huntsworth Health brand name.

The move means well-established names in the healthcare service sector, such as Avenue HKM and Jago Pearce (medical education and PR agencies), along with PBC and VB Communications (brand consultancy and advertising agencies) will no longer be used.

The combined offering is one of the largest integrated agencies in the UK and has promised clients an even more efficient and cost-effective service with more resources available in each speciality.

Chief operating officer, Nigel Jones, said that before bringing the agencies together, 30 per cent of Huntsworth's revenue was already coming from
integrated business where clients were working with two or more agencies within the group.

ìThe global marketplace is changing significantly,î he said. ìThere is a move away from GP blockbuster brands to more specialist brands which require a more integrated communications approach.î

A fresh single management structure is currently being implemented at the new business, which will be headed by chief executive officer, David Rowley.

The specialist divisions of medical communications, brand consultancy, and advertising and creative services will be headed up by Sandy Thomson, Jon Lee and Marcus Perry, respectively.

Meanwhile, Mike Dixon takes up the newly created position of UK operations director.
