Virgo Health expands senior team with new hires

Agency strengthens senior team

Virgo Health

Global healthcare communications and medical education agency Virgo Health has hired four new starters following significant business wins.

Sarah Gordon joins as executive director, where she will bring expertise and experience from her former roles, including at Ogilvy where she led an integrated agency team working across public relations, medical education and advertising. She has extensive experience managing global accounts for pharma clients and won a Cannes Silver Lion in 2016 for her congress work.

“Virgo Health’s global new business wins expand our world-class hub of high-performance teams with covetable global experience to service our clients. These wins reflect our investment in a centre of excellence in London that will continue to support the global hub with gold standard scientific services and healthcare creative,” said Neera Chaudhary, Virgo Health global president.

Joining from BCW as director, Erin Hamid also brings with her a wealth of global experience. She has led global accounts across a wide range of therapeutic areas. Hamid brings a wealth of expertise in drug launches into competitive markets in the US, EU and Asia.

Strengthening the growing scientific services team is Farah Dalwai, who joins to lead the PhD qualified experts. Hamid brings deep academic, clinical industry and agency experience across medical education, PR and advertising to the company, and has worked on a variety of therapy areas.

Paul Andrews, newly-promoted as executive director of Creative Services, will continue to drive the growth of Virgo’s creative studio to bring clients a combination of specialist healthcare and bigger consumer agencies.

In addition to new hires and global growth, Virgo Health is currently celebrating a series of awards wins and shortlists. This month Virgo was placed 15th in the Great Place To Work small organisation category, and also received three shortlists for its Tackle TD campaign at the Communiqué Awards.
