On 22nd February we held our patient experience focus group, which brought together patients, doctors and industry advocates to discuss the changing landscape and challenges facing cancer care today. In the patient experience focus group, the discussion focused on the patient journey from pre-diagnosis right through to treatment and support. The focus group provided deeper insight in to a number of themes including the transformation of cancer understanding, the barriers to cancer diagnosis, the advent of new treatments including immunotherapy, communication around treatment, access to information for both patients and hcps, patient support & wellbeing and the role of caregivers.
