Mental Health Awareness Week

This year the theme of Mental Health Awareness Week is loneliness, focusing on the impact of it on our mental health and the practical steps we can take to address it.

Loneliness is a universal human emotion that is both complex and unique to each individual. Anyone can feel lonely, even though we are surrounded by people.

Loneliness, according to many experts, is not necessarily about being alone. Instead, if you feel alone and isolated, that is how loneliness plays into your state of mind. Long-term loneliness can make us feel anxious or depressed, thus having a serious effect on mental health.

Hence, here at #MednetGroup under our #MentalHealthUncovered campaign, during international #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek we want to acknowledge how loneliness can impact mental health whilst also sharing tips, and useful information for those who feel lonely and don’t know how to cope with it.
