For the first time both industry and agencies will be equally represented as the PM Society appoints a joint chair. Colin Williams who has spent the last 20 years working in pharma digital marketing and is currently in the GSK Global team comes with a wealth of industry experience as well as a stint agency side and Caroline Benson, co-Founder and Director of Cuttsy and Cuttsy who has also spent over 20 years agency side with the last nine years building her own agency, will be chairing the society for the next two years.

The two of them are long time supporters of the PM Society, Colin has been involved in the Digital Awards and Digital interest group lead since their inception and Caroline has been the Patient Engagement interest group lead for the last couple of years.

In part of a statement from Caroline she said ‘It’s been a very interesting couple of months since Colin and I were approached to chair the society. We have had many discussions on what we would like to achieve and surprised ourselves on how similar our thoughts are, we definitely want to make a difference over the next couple of years. We are committed to giving back as well as championing resilience and mental health, for me personally, changing the way agencies work for the better of their teams, through flexible working practices and no more long hour medal of honour mentalities, is a great place to start.’

Colin Williams added: ‘The PM Society has a rich history and as a non for profit organisation we have an amazing amount of support from the industry and we want to put it to best use and run a marketing-driven society that provides education and support to it’s members and affiliates. I’ve personally benefitted in so many ways from being involved with the society, and I know others who have shared similar experiences would say the same, but I also know there are a lot of people in our industry who don’t know about us, and I’m passionate about extending our reach as far across the pharma industry as we can, so more people know what we do, get involved in helping us and get their own benefits in the process.’
