Lee Joins 3 Monkeys Zeno in London, Bolstering the Agency’s Global Healthcare Capabilities.

LONDON (January 7, 2021) -  Zeno Group has appointed Avril Lee as Head of Healthcare, U.K. and Europe. A widely recognised and accomplished communications leader with deep agency and client-side experience, Lee will strengthen Zeno’s growing international health capabilities.

Based at 3 Monkeys Zeno in London, Lee will focus primarily on expanding Zeno’s healthcare work in the U.K., France and Germany.  In addition, Lee will oversee several of Zeno’s existing health clients including AstraZeneca, Hologic and NSF International. Lee will report to Ame Wadler, Zeno’s Managing Director of Global Health.

Lee previously was the Deputy Chair of Burson Marsteller’s global healthcare practice, and head of Health at The Red Consultancy. Throughout her 20-year experience in consumer health and RX pharma sectors, Lee has led communications strategy for some of the most reputable healthcare brands and companies including Bayer, Amgen and AbbVie.

Ame Wadler said, “Avril is arriving to Zeno at a strategically important time for us and our clients.  Healthcare and understanding the power of science is essential to the way businesses, communities and families will return to some normalcy. Avril’s wide-ranging expertise will help clients deliver value to their distinct and varied audiences today while helping them articulate their vision for the future.”

Driven by a strong commitment to serve others, Avril has worked actively to improve diversity and inclusion in the PR industry for almost 10 years and is the Chair of the D&I Network of the Chartered Institute of PR UK, which recently released the much discussed 'Race in PR' Report.

About her move into this role, Avril Lee said, “With a joined up, global approach to healthcare and a team that brings energy, expertise and drive, Zeno has impressed and inspired me. The people and the clients are what makes a great place to work and Zeno stands out on both counts. I'm eager to join Zeno as they continue to bring the agency's bold creative and smart thinking to health brands across their network - in an age where helping audiences understand and engage with the message has never been more important.”
