Fishawack Health launches global ‘PsoriasIS NOT CONTAGIOUS’ mask campaign for World Psoriasis Day 2020

Fishawack Health launches global disease awareness campaign, supported by the community of Psoriasis Warriors to de-stigmatize psoriasis during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fishawack Health has announced the launch of PsoriasIS NOT CONTAGIOUS, a pro-bono global disease awareness campaign to raise awareness of psoriasis and show that it is not a contagious or unhygienic condition. The campaign is designed to lessen the stigma, discrimination, and exclusion of the 125 million people currently living with the skin condition globally.

World Psoriasis Day takes place each year on 29th October 2020. The annual event was created in 2004 and is active in over 50 countries globally. The theme for 2020 is ‘PSORIASIS. IT’S NOT CONTAGIOUS.’

PsoriasIS NOT CONTAGIOUS is an innovative creative campaign which leverages COVID-19 face masks to send a clear message that you cannot catch psoriasis.

The campaign has been shot by UK-based photographer Sophie Harris Taylor whose award-winning work is focused on skin conditions. It features a microsite that showcases personal stories from a diverse group of people living with psoriasis and a downloadable toolkit to help you get involved.

The toolkit includes a digital ‘PsoriasIS NOT CONTAGIOUS’ mask filter and we’re encouraging people across the globe to join the campaign by taking a picture with the filter and uploading on any social media platform, including hashtags #PSONOTCONTAGIOUS and #WorldPsoriasisDay.

The campaign also features a social media campaign, supported by influencers like Zoe Kahn and Reena who are focused on spreading awareness on behalf of their psoriasis community by encouraging us all to download the mask filter with the message ‘PsoriasIS NOT CONTAGIOUS’.

If you would like to show your support, visit www.psonotcontagious.com, where you can find more insights about what it is like to live with psoriasis, and download the ‘PsoriasIS NOT CONTAGIOUS’ mask filter.
