My colleague Chris Gaj and I recently conducted a
video dialogue on the topic of hybrid qual/quant methods in which we discussed why clients often want to blend the two, and the best approaches for obtaining qualitative insights with quantitative precision. A typical case would be in-licensing opportunity assessments, which usually require a fast turnaround. The objective of this type of study is to quantify the revenue potential of a possible new asset and ideally provide some depth of insight to support a go/no decision. In other words, answer the key questions: how much? And why?
