Pegasus, an Ashfield company, part of UDG Healthcare plc, is delighted to
have won the prestigious Consultancy of the Year award at the 2016 Communiqué
Awards in London. The judges commented, “their genuinely integrated offer,
built around the strengths of their people and winning combination of style and
substance, meant that they really stood out to the judges as a worthy winner.” Pegasus
first picked up the coveted award in 2014, and have also been finalists every
year since 2013.
On Pegasus’ recent win, the Communiqué judges said, “The Pegasus 'Health
first, sector second' ethos led them to a truly outstanding performance in
2015. They implemented a clear business strategy focused around simple
commercial drivers, which delivered impressive growth.”
Jo Spadaccino, Director and Head of Pharma & Life Sciences at
Pegasus, commented: “Winning Communications Consultancy of the Year for the
second time is an achievement held by only a handful of consultancies. To be
deemed the ‘worthy winner’ by the Communiqué judges, who singled out our
'genuinely integrated' offering for particular praise makes me immensely proud
of how far we have come as an agency.”
Consultancy of the Year was
one of two trophies awarded to Pegasus at the 2016 ceremony, as the company
also picked up the award for Excellence in Media Relations for its work with
LloydsPharmacy on the Sex Degrees of Separation campaign. Launched during
Sexual Health Week, the media campaign was centred on its online tool that
calculated the number of indirect sexual partners a person has had. On a modest
budget, and as a direct impact of the campaign, more than 1,200 people took up
the service’s STI assessments and organic sales of sexual health products
doubled.
Regarding the win, Jo continued: “The Sex Degrees of Separation campaign is
a perfect example of our ‘inspiring healthy decisions’ mission, in this case
harnessing the power of earned media to deliver a creative campaign that had genuine
impact, impressing our clients and the judges alike.”
Among Pegasus’s most recent
wins in 2016, it has scooped the prestigious EMEA Healthcare PR Consultancy of
the Year at the Sabre Awards, as well three awards at the PM Society Digital
Media Awards 2016, including gold for the highly acclaimed Craft: Best
Innovation award, and two silvers for the Effectiveness: Digital projects
within healthcare partnerships award and the Craft: Film award.
