Virtual Patient Engagement Program: A Customer Story

Our client wanted to better understand the needs, preferences, and treatment gaps among adult patients with a rare genetic disease in the USA. They had first conducted a virtual advisory board with physicians treating this condition but wanted to supplement that initiative by gathering patient insights to get a more comprehensive and accurate picture.

Over a period of seven months, the client engaged six patients in a fully virtual Patient Value Mapping project. With the patient advisors’ convenience and preference in mind, they opted for mainly asynchronous (over-time, anytime) touchpoints, with one synchronous (real-time) virtual touchpoint to record patient stories for short audio vignettes. Throughout the project, the patient advisors remained anonymous to both the client and other participants.

To learn more about our client’s approach and the outcomes of this project, access the full customer story here.
