Lucid Group: Orange the World

- PMLiVE

Yesterday was International Day For The Elimination Of Violence Against Women. It marked the launch of the UNiTE to end the violence against women campaign, which runs for 16 days until the 10 December. The Lucid Group D&I committee has been busy developing resources to help increase awareness and education for this campaign. We will also be sharing information on how we can all help eliminate violence against women around the world throughout the next two weeks.

Did you know?

Gender-based violence is not inevitable. It can and must be prevented. Nearly 1 in 3 women have been abused in their lifetime, and since the outbreak of COVID-19, violence against women, particularly domestic violence, has intensified.

This year’s global theme is “Orange the World: End Violence against Women Now!” – The UN has chosen the colour orange to represent a brighter future, free of violence against women and girls. And as part of our support for this initiative, our people will be wearing orange to show their solidarity for such an important cause. Watch this space for more updates.

You can find more information on the “Orange the World” campaign here.
