Lucid Group’s winning talent team

- PMLiVE

The Lucid Group talent team has grown with two new Talent Acquisition Partners: Jon Turner and Ellen Field. To help you understand a bit more about them, their role, and the opportunities we have at Lucid, we sat down with each of them to ask a few questions. You can read what Ellen had to say below and we’ll be sharing Jon’s insights next week.

Ellen Field joined us 8 weeks ago, and has over 7 years’ experience in recruitment, some 2.5 of which have been in healthcare communications.

Q: Welcome to Lucid, Ellen! Tell us what you love about recruitment

A: I love being the instigator of someone’s new role. A new job can be life-changing, and for me there is no better feeling than ringing someone to tell them, “You’ve got the job!”. Good recruitment requires strategic thinking to align talent within a business. I also love building new relationships.

Q: What is it about healthcare communications that drives you?

A: I’ve always been interested in healthcare and living a healthy lifestyle. My mum is a nurse too. So, knowing that the medical writers and account executives I recruit are responsible for work that improves patients’ lives is really inspiring for me. This is such a fascinating industry and there’s always so much to learn.

Q: What attracted you to come and work at Lucid?

A: Having spent over 2.5 years at one of Lucid’s competitor agencies, and losing a number of great candidates to Lucid, I was fully aware of the brilliant work Lucid does, and being part of a purpose-driven organisation was something I was passionate about. Furthermore, it’s such an exciting time to be joining the organisation – three acquisitions in the last 2 years have not only driven tremendous growth, but it means that Lucid now provides a diverse range of expert capabilities covering medical strategy, healthcare communications, creative and brand strategy, motion, digital, behaviour change, and metrics and data analytics. What’s also very impressive is that every single person I have met so far, no matter what area they work in, is driven by the same goal – to transform lives – and I can’t wait to help and be part of the solution.

Q: What makes Lucid stand out from other agencies?

A: I am only 8 weeks in, but I have been blown away by the amount of learning and development opportunities we offer our people. I am not aware of another agency that offers such a comprehensive package of training – from LinkedIn Learning to classroom training sessions, mentoring programmes and even executive coaching. There is so much on offer, and it really differentiates Lucid from the competition. Every candidate I have spoken to gets excited by it; it’s no wonder the Lucid teams are brimming with talent.
