Addressing the inequality in access to Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) Therapy to treat patients with Epilepsy entailed identifying delays in referrals and treatment, showing improvements in outcomes and stratifying patients suited to this therapy option.
HES data analysis was used to identify the patient cohort and track patient pathways.
We created an online dash boarding tool to communicate these findings.
The simplicity of the pathway shows the journey, costs and length of time to treatment thus highlighting the key issues that these patients go through on their journey to effective treatment.
Results have been used for multiple European Market Access initiatives.
