Putting our core values into practice at the Porterhouse summer social

As a reward for all our hard work and in keeping with our core values, which include ‘family’ and ‘humour and happiness’, the teams at Porterhouse enjoy regular socials.

For our 2019 summer social, we took to the River Thames on a boat cruise and explored the beautiful ‘Wind in the Willows’ countryside, spotting a variety of wildlife. There was even a rare sighting of the Cat in the Hat!

Unfortunately, the wind was indeed ‘in the willows’ and we were faced with intermittent showers, but the determined Porterhouse crew were not deterred – dresses were held tightly, music played and eventually the sun came out.

Fuelled by delicious canapés, prosecco, lashings of ginger beer and other refreshments, everyone had a lot of fun dancing, enjoying the sights and catching up with one another. All in all, it was a great summer social and an opportunity for the different teams at Porterhouse to get together and put some of the company’s core values into practice.
