Brandcast Health celebrates more major awards
Brandcast Health, the UK’s leading digital agency in cancer education and communications, has taken home two more awards to add to this year’s tally.

Partnering with Patient Power across Europe, the education and empowerment online channel for cancer patients and caregivers, Brandcast Health has won the 2016 EVCOM CLARION awards for Digital Events (silver) and for Community Engagement and Social Enterprise(gold).
These latest accolades follow on from Brandcast Health winning the 2016 Communique award for Excellence in Digital Patient Communication.
In addition, Brandcast and Patient Power’s founder Andrew Schorr, a two-time cancer survivor, have also been announced as joint finalists in this year’s prestigious PMEA awards. This award category marks the importance of the patient in today’s healthcare environment, highlighting activities that have brought significant benefits to specific groups of patients to support and maintain understanding and management of their condition.
These latest awards follow several years of success for the agency in digital communications in the cancer sector and in the wider world of patient engagement and medical education in pharma, biotech and hospital care.
Brandcast CEO, Charlie Grieve, said “the latest wins reflected the agency’s policy of building a team of top medical digital specialists, with the empathy and total understanding of the needs of cancer patients and their families.”
“We have a highly qualified team, who recognise that patients increasingly demand a much greater involvement in the management of their treatment. Perceptive, innovative and efficient digital communications is a proven and vital tool helping patients, doctors, hospitals and pharma work as a team to achieve the best possible outcomes,” he said.
“Patients’ needs and demands to learn more, and be part of the decision-making process, have changed dramatically in recent years, and not before time. When you have intuitive and pioneering partners, such as Patient Power, it is tremendously satisfying to be able to help make a real difference to people’s lives.”

- Ansar Jawair discusses precision medicines - what they are, where we are today and their future
- Ansar Jawair, Founder and CEO of Precision Medicines Ltd, tells us about his talk on precision medicines, what they are, where we are today, the future and some of the challenges involved in their implementation to patients. Precision medicines are matched to patients using biomarkers, enabling to target the specific drivers of various cancers. Major advances have already been made in this field, treating a range of cancers. Some of the major challenges include working with the complexities in different countries, trying to establish diagnostic testing, for enabling precision medicine. He mentions how we are moving towards an era of delivering personalised treatments that are matched to the individual patient. Furthermore, through advances in precision medicines and in diagnostic testing, we are seeing earlier detection of disease and identification of risk factors, allowing for preventative measures.
