emotive does The Vitality British 10k London Run

Inspired by Anj and Georgie’s half marathon success back in February, we set our sights on the next challenge; The Vitality British 10k London Run. Joined by a few additional (less seasoned) team members, the training continued but this time in a slightly warmer London.

On the 10th July we woke up to a gloomy Sunday morning, but in high spirits, we confidently made our way to the starting line in our matching bright pink and blue Brain Tumour Charity vests. Starting at Piccadilly, we zigzagged our way through central London, passing many famous London landmarks along the way. Encouraged by an endless supply of jellybeans and lots of support from enthusiastic Londoners, the team made it to the finish line in just over an hour.

As well as another medal for the cabinet, we managed to raise over £650 for emotive’s nominated 2016 charity, The Brain Tumour Charity. The charity helps improve the lives of those affected by brain tumours. They provide ongoing support whilst also raising awareness and funding pioneering research to help understand causes and develop new treatments.

Thanks to everyone who supported us and donated. We feel very proud and are looking forward to our next team fundraising activity. But for now it’s time to rest our aching legs for a little bit!
