Having already been shortlisted in
the Excellence in Communications via a Live Event at the 2016 Communiqué
Awards, Virtual Valve, the ground-breaking virtual reality medical education
project by emotive for Edwards Lifesciences, has done it again - this time for
Innovation in Healthcare Communications.
This category at the Communiqué Awards recognises initiatives that contribute
to the enhancement of healthcare outcomes and improved patient care through a
compelling and differentiated approach. This could be achieved through
customer/stakeholder engagement, use of communication or marketing channels,
provision of patient services or information, provision of information for
healthcare professionals or healthcare collaboration with one or more parties.
Commenting on this news, Managing
Director of emotive, Chris Edmonds said:
“This is excellent news for both our forward-thinking clients who
allowed us to work with them on this exciting and highly advanced project and
for the team at emotive who worked so hard to make the impossible, possible. We
won this Innovation Award in 2014 for a pioneering piece of medical education
for Novo Nordisk, involving virtual patients and technology in highly engaging
interactive case studies. It was richly deserved then and we would be honoured
if the judges thought the same for Virtual Valve in 2016.”
