We hear from Trevor Telo, Nucleus Global’s new Creative Director, Europe, about his experience and ambitions for the role
Welcome to Nucleus Global, Trevor! Please can you give a bit of background about yourself?
Hi, thank you for your warm welcome. It’s been a busy first month and I’m excited to meet the team face to face.
Previously, I’ve worked in similar roles in creative agencies on both healthcare and consumer brands using traditional and creative advertising and marketing. Over the past 20 years in my career, I’ve worked on medical and consumer campaigns, giving me a range of experience in consumer and healthcare advertising. I’ve worked at places such as Ogilvy, Havas, Fishawack, Langland and Wunderman.
What are you most looking forward to in joining Nucleus Global?
I’m looking forward to and excited about collaborating with the entire team at Nucleus Global. I want to get stuck into fun events that will be happening to elevate creativity and build relationships.
What are your aspirations for a new role?
I want to create excitement about the award-winning work we do, bringing a creative edge to the med comms industry and building a creative reputation as well. I’d like to do more to bring inspiration into the business and potentially external creative expertise and influence.
What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t working?
I enjoy cooking. My favourite cuisine is Portuguese, as it’s my heritage. I create all the Portuguese dishes, like bacalao and traditional meals that my mother used to make. I’ve taken my mother’s recipes and started to make them myself, which I consider my specialty now.
I also like to visit exhibitions, of course, with a keen interest in photography. I love movies and interesting TV series. My favourite series is Ozark right now, it’s back out and it’s been cool.
