Bedrock Healthcare Communications won two gold
awards and one silver at the prestigious PM Society Digital Awards 2018 last
night,
making it one of the stand out agencies of the
night.
The
Bedrock team celebrated gold in the category Congress, Meetings and Events for
their creative, integrated and engaging approach to Medical Affairs activities
at ESC and ESC-HF for Novartis. Gold was
also won in the Corporate Communications category with ‘This is Axiom’; a full
production fictional film set in outer space which was created for Celgene as an
analogy to the healthcare debate http://thisisaxiommovie.com/ . This is Axiom was also awarded
a SILVER award in the Film Craft category, completing a hat trick of peer
recognition.
Commenting
on this ‘This is Axiom’, the judges remarked that, “Bedrock and Celgene were
very bold to move into this space, as we haven’t seen this from other Pharma
companies before”, and that the ESC and ESC-HF Medical Affairs activities “took
something that is traditionally very difficult to generate excitement about –
the medical side of their stand – and made it very creative and engaging”.
David
Youds, CEO of Bedrock, said, “We continually strive to imagine, create and
deliver impactful programmes for our clients.
These awards are fantastic recognition of the team’s and our clients’ incredible
work and build on our three Communique Finalist results earlier in the
year. I’m immensely proud of the Bedrock
team and the ongoing work that we are all so passionate about”.
The PM Society Digital Awards recognise excellence in the use of digital
for healthcare communications. There
were 17 categories at this year’s awards judged predominantly from individuals
across the industry, with expertise in marketing and digital as well as some
medics and additional judges from the NHS and agencies.
Awards Chair Rachel Farrow said – “As we saw in 2017, there has been a wide
spread of Gold awards across the agencies showing that there are numerous
highly talented agencies producing outstanding digital work. What they have in
common is that they can all deliver fantastic digital work and these awards allow
that work to be highlighted”.
