Bedrock Healthcare Communications, through its 2018 pro-bono charity support programme is actively working with important international charity Transplant Links Community to spread the word about its celebrity supported Art Auction, “Deck of Cards”.

The TLC Deck of Cards unreserved auction is an exclusive fundraising collaboration between Transplant Links Community (TLC) and 56 artists and public figures including Quentin Blake, Grayson Perry, Dynamo, Joanna Lumley, Bear Grylls and Baroness Floella Benjamin. Each contributor has designed and created a unique piece of artwork for one of 52 playing cards and four jokers that make up the TLC Deck of Cards.

The original artwork is currently on display at Ewbanks, Woking before being sold by public auction from 7pm onwards on Friday 12th October. The artwork can currently be viewed online at www.ewbankauctions.co.uk, where bids can also be placed prior to and during the auction.

A special edition poster and packs of cards containing copies of the artwork can also be purchased from www.tlcartauction.com

Proceeds will support TLCs important work transferring surgical skills from the UK to developing countries, enabling the implementation of sustainable live-donor kidney transplant programmes in Africa and the Caribbean.

Bedrock’s charity support team has been working closely with TLC to raise awareness, excitement and anticipation for the auction through social channels, digital and media relations, helping to encourage people to attend in person or to bid online for the one-of-a-kind pieces of artwork.

Baroness Floella Benjamin, patron of TLC said, “We take for granted the incredible healthcare system in the UK. Life expectancy without a kidney transplant in Africa is just 3 months. TLC works tirelessly to help save and improve the lives of people living in Africa and the Caribbean requiring kidney transplants by training local healthcare professionals to perform successful operations.”

Jennie Jewitt-Harris, founder of TLC said, “Bedrock are helping TLC raise awareness of our key fundraising event - an art auction of amazing works by artists and celebrities that together make a deck of cards. The Bedrock team's energy, organisation and endless stream of great ideas has been such a tremendous help in supporting this project.”
