The
Richmond-based agencies picked up three trophies at the 2016 Communiqué
Awards, which recognise and commend excellence and best practice in local,
European and international healthcare communications.
Health
Unlimited and Novartis Pharmaceutical’s COPD Crowdshaped: Advancing ideation in
the pharmaceutical sector was recognised twice by the judges, winning both the
award for Excellence in Communications via a Live Event or Stand-Alone Activity
and the award for Innovation in Healthcare Communications.
Commenting,
the judges recognised “An inspiring piece of work that we would have loved to
have been involved with. It showed exceptional stakeholder engagement and threw
out the rule book to produce a creative and innovative conversation that
thought leaders wanted to be part of. It was big, bold and brave and has
already provided some really tangible outcomes that are clearly already benefiting
patients.”
Other
comments received noted “This was a refreshing and ambitious entry that brings
pharma to the forefront of value. We saw new thinking and felt it broke new
ground; working with non-traditional partners, outcomes were achieved and the
sheer volume and depth of ideas was amazing.”
Liberation
Unlimited together with Bayer plc won the award for Excellence in Corporate
Communications – External Stakeholders for their Bayer Ophthalmology Honours
programme which recognises and showcases the
very best ophthalmology care in the UK and was launched in 2015 to demonstrate
leadership and commitment to ophthalmology through better engagement and
partnership across all ophthalmology stakeholders.
Commenting
on this work the judges acknowledged “Bayer effectively engaged with a wide
range of the stakeholder community, including patient groups.
“This
simple programme has real potential to bring about lasting changes to patient
care.”
Also successful at the
2016 awards was Rock Unlimited, the agency were highly commended by the judges
in the Medical Education Consultancy of the Year category who commented “Tight
operational excellence, coupled with its innovative and nimble approach made
for a great first-time performance for Rock Unlimited and bodes well for the
consultancy as a big player in the future. The single-mindedness, wonderful
enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit were particularly impressive, as was its
growth story. Without a doubt this team is one to watch.”
These Communiqué Awards accolades follow DJM PAN
Unlimited’s work being honoured last month at the global Cannes Festival
celebrating creativity in healthcare. The Bad Barista campaign for Teva UK
picked up both a silver Lion for Scriptwriting and a bronze award for Cinematography
in the Film Craft Pharma Lions.
Nicky Walsby, Executive
Director of Health Unlimited says: “To be so broadly recognised by peers and
industry leaders as a group of agencies conceiving and delivering ground-breaking
campaigns that throw out the rule book and truly make a difference to people’s
health day to day is both humbling and motivational to our brilliant teams.”
