2018 was a magical year for Lucid Group, filled with memorable moments and many celebrations

This year has been a ground-breaking year for Lucid Group, punctuated by magical makeovers, plenty of awards, landmark staff celebrations and worthwhile charity work.

The tone of the year was set back in February when Lucid made its own transformation with a magical makeover. Jan Steele, Lucid COO and Co-Founder explains, “The branding captures the unique magic of our client partnerships. They bring the talent, dreams and ambition, and we supply the magic to deliver programmes that change behaviour and improve patients’ lives.”

From then on, the year just got better, with wins at Communiqué and PMEA being particular highlights. Lucid won four Communiqué awards, including Communiqué Medical Education Consultancy of the Year 2018 and Communiqué Communications Consultancy of the Year 2018 – what a magical start to the awards season! PMEA then saw the team scoop two awards and a high commendation, including PMEA Support Agency of the Year 2018, cementing their status as industry leaders in providing medical communication that transforms lives.

Further testament to Lucid’s pioneering and human-centric approach were the three ten-year work anniversary celebrations for JoanneHannah and Michelle. All three have played an important part in Lucid’s transformation over the last 11 years, from a small start-up, to a global family of healthcare communication companies.

Additionally, 2018 saw the graduation for Lucid’s inaugural graduate cohort from the Futures Academy. The Futures Academy was kick-started with an intensive eight-week training course back in October 2017. The graduates then moved into two different placements for the rest of the year, allowing them to experience both sides of the business – medical writing and account handling.

Finally, Lucid strengthened their ties to the local community close to their HQ in Loudwater, Bucks, through their working charity group Lucid SPIRIT and chosen charity partner Wycombe Homeless Connection (WHC). Throughout 2018, the Lucid SPIRIT team have championed initiatives to raise money for WHC, including: royal wedding and Halloween bake sales, sports daypub quiz and big sleep out. If you would like to learn more about the work of WHC, you can check out this short video created by the volunteers here.

The year of 2018 has been magical for Lucid and the team is looking forward to a truly spellbinding 2019!

Connecting capabilities in healthcare communications
The account management/medical writing paradigm was the cornerstone of medcomms for many years, but evolution in technology, storytelling and an increasingly sophisticated audience has changed this.Instead, today's environment requires an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to cut through the noise, change behaviour, build mental availability for a brand, and advance health outcomes.Connecting multiple capabilities has never been so important. So, how are agencies managing this today? In this webinar, we discuss how our client teams have evolved and how traditional roles have had to change and adapt to help solve today's healthcare challenges. The Lucid Group panel are Jonathan Andrew, Hannah Clarke, Cheryl Harrison Doyle and Madeleine Tye. Please reach out to them on LinkedIn should you have any questions relating to this. As you will hear in this webinar, we are constantly evolving and growing our team's capabilities; both through talent acquisition and internal training opportunities.
