Medscape Education is Focusing on Patient Centricity and Education Outcomes at EHA 2023

- PMLiVE

The Medscape Education team will be on site at the 2023 EHA conference in Frankfurt, Germany to share the outcomes of recent hematology education programs and to advance the discussion on the gaps in patient centric care.

From their booth on the exhibit floor, Medscape will meet with Medscape members and other attendees interested in continuing hematology education, highlighting available programs and the benefits of advancing their education through Medscape’s vast resources. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more and sign up for a no cost membership to access Medscape’s free education, references, and point of care tools.

As a part of Medscape’s commitment to disseminating the outcomes of their education programs, the team will share two scientific posters that describe the impact of Medscape CME/CE programs on clinicians’ ability to treat hematologic conditions. These posters will cover education programs on the topics of pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia with asparaginase-based therapies, and the treatment of patients with BTK inhibitors for b-cell malignancies.

In addition to their activities at the conference, Medscape will hold an off-site panel discussion on closing the gaps in patient centricity. Dame Lesley Fallowfield, DBE, BSc, DPhil, FMedSci and Lorna Warwick, Chief Executive Officer, Lymphoma Coalition will speak as part of the panel with María-Victoria Mateos, MD, PhD moderating.

“We’re so excited to be able to share our outcomes posters at the conference and tell the story of how CME is impacting clinicians’ practices, which can ultimately lead to better outcomes for the patient. Better outcomes for patient is always the goal, and we’re seeing how CME plays a critical role in achieving that. We’re also excited for our patient centricity meeting, and gaining key insights from our leading faculty members. Together, we can close the gaps in patient centricity in hematology,” said Stephen Dunn.
