Ashfield walks away with gold at EVCOM Clarion Awards
The awards ceremony, held at The Seven Dials Club, Covent Garden, London on Friday 7 October, drew leading event and communication agencies from across the UK to honour outstanding performance in corporate social responsibility and sustainability, including environment, diversity, equality, community, charity initiatives, education, ethical, health and welfare issues.
Ashfield won the top prize in the Conference (Screen) category for ‘A vision for the future: an AIDS-free
generation’, the first in an emotive series for ViiV Healthcare which shares the
stories of those who suffer most, but whose voices are heard least. In this
piece the voices of children are the unifying creative concept from which we
developed a narrative and creative; emblematic of childhood experience and a
powerful way for adults to connect with the inner world of a child.

Speaking about the win, Ashfield Digital & Creative, Creative Director Jim Park said,
“This win symbolises the culmination of eight months of extensive commitment
from a wide group of individuals, including patients and patient groups from
around the world, poets and rappers as well as our team of motion graphic
specialists who recorded hours of audio to create the movie’s compelling
narrative. However, this entire project would not have been possible without
our client Dr Katy Hayward, Global
Medical Lead Paediatrics at ViiV Healthcare, who wanted to tell a patient
story that would make people stop and think, and gave us the creative space to
do so. Truly collaborative and incredibly rewarding… it’s fantastic to be
recognised with this award, however I still think the real prize was in working
with such brilliant people.”
