Star opens a new office in Manchester and welcomes a new recruitment team.

Complementing its ranking as 3rd best small company to work for* 2012, and its ‘Best Back-Office Support Team’ win at REC’s IRP awards 2013, Star has invested heavily in the infrastructure it needs to catalyse national coverage, attract the finest talent, and deliver award-winning customer service across the UK.

On Thursday 22nd May, Team Star and guests gathered at the elegant Manchester House Lounge to celebrate the opening of Star’s Manchester office, its third in the UK.  

Managing Director Lucy O’Neill explains: "The market is booming, yet challenging - employers are struggling to find the skills they need, and this demands a more sophisticated recruitment service. Star’s response has been to continue to invest in a model that enables true national coverage and to build the most experienced team of recruiters in our sector.”

Finding top talent by investing in top talent  

Star now has the biggest presence in the country, and the biggest resourcing team.

Recruitment experts Marie Entwistle, Samantha Harrison, Danny Walsh and Danny Dorward operate from Star’s Manchester office and look after Star’s customers in the North of the UK, and Daniel Everitt joins Star’s pharma team in the South West.

“We’re building the industry’s super team,” explains Chairman Tim Webster. “We’ve invested in the infrastructure we need to provide our customers with a consistently expert service as the market transforms, and in doing so, achieve our vision of market leadership.”  

Star’s newest recruits made the decision to move to Star because they believed that Star was in the best place to deliver what the market needs.

"My team and I are delighted to be setting-up Star’s northern office,” explains Northern Business Unit Manager Marie Entwistle. “A northern base makes us so much more accessible to our customers and working regionally will enable us to continue to build solid relationships with our local clients and candidates and deliver a bespoke service based on customers’ regional needs.”
