Star wins most preferred CSO and recruitment agency 2016!

Star is 2016’s most preferred contract sales organisation (‘CSO’), as ranked by the industry in Pf’s Company Perception, Motivation and Satisfaction survey; Star also retains its status as most preferred recruitment agency for the second year running.

Star is 2016’s most preferred contract sales organisation (‘CSO’), as ranked by the industry in Pf's Company Perception, Motivation and Satisfaction survey; Star also retains its status as most preferred recruitment agency for the second year running.

“We’re thrilled,” said Star’s Chief Operating Officer, Tim Webster. “Last year’s joint first CSO result was incredible but we weren’t content; we were determined to up our game and earn most preferred CSO unequivocally by delivering quality to more and more customers.”This recognition tops a successful period of change for the company."

Following Uniphar's acquisition of Star in 2015, the company focused on its vision and values to help preserve its strengths – great people and customer experience – while maximising the scale and innovation brought to company by Uniphar’s investment. True to its intent, Star invested significantly in broadening its portfolio of outsourced services, launching the inaugural Star Medical Syndicated Team in March, followed by the innovative Sirius Team in July, the industry’s first co-funded hospital team.
Star has also achieved greater traction in the scientific and healthcare communications sectors, diversifying beyond its pharma, clinical research, and medical devices and technology portfolio. This diversification stems from Star’s commitment to hard work, flexibility and the team’s healthy approach to change.

Star’s General Manager, Lucy O’Neill, said: “Post-acquisition, we set out to realise the best of both worlds, maximising the benefits brought to Star by Uniphar’s scale, innovative technology, distribution networks and customer relationships, while retaining the tailored, personal approach that customers expect from Star, and it seems to be working – our outsourcing business has doubled in size in the last 12 months.”

“We’re really proud of what we’ve achieved but greater success also brings fresh challenges. Post-acquisition, we continue to work harder than ever to be better and stronger without losing what makes us unique. We’ve taken care to bring the company together to make sure we all understand what it means to be a Star-fit person and what delivering the best in the right way looks like, while making sure we never lose sight of our clients’ and candidates’ needs. We’re so thrilled that our customers are pleased with what we’re doing, and we will continue to focus on making our best even better.”
