Virtual Hackathon on Healthcare Innovation: a Customer Story

How participants from 9 different countries in the APAC region were brought together to participate in a pharmaceutical company-wide 3-day virtual "hackathon," with spectacular results.

In this customer story, we summarize how one of Impetus Digital's clients successfully conducted an enterprise-wide virtual hackathon to brainstorm innovative solutions to a number of specific healthcare problems and unmet needs. By strategically using our many asynchronous and synchronous tools, they were able to obtain a high level of participant engagement and satisfaction throughout the three-day event.

Our client’s main objectives were to:

  1. Seamlessly conduct a virtual hackathon over 3 days, with internal participants from 9 countries in the APAC region.
  2. Brainstorm innovate solutions to a number of specific healthcare problems and unmet needs, divided into:
    1. Patient-centric solutions
    2. Mobile/digital health technologies
    3. Innovative clinical trial and RWE study designs
