Communiqué Awards 2014 opens for entry

Healthcare communications programme continues to reflect current industry trends and thinking

Communiqué healthcare communications awards 2014

This year’s Communiqué Awards are now open for entry and the 2014 programme benefits from a number of refinements to its categories and judging criteria.

The programme, run by PMLiVE publisher PMGroup, is specifically designed to recognise and commend excellence and best practice in local, European and international healthcare communications.

PMGroup events director Ellie Duncanson-Hunter said: “In 2014 we have introduced new categories to Communiqué and evolved the programme to ensure it remains the best respected healthcare communications recognition programme.”

Three new categories have been introduced to the programme to reflect current industry trends and thinking:

• Excellence in Integrated Digital Communications
• Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility or Not for Profit/Pro Bono Programmes
• The Publicis Life Brands Resolute Award for Emerging Leader in Healthcare Communications.

Meanwhile, the 2014 Programme will allow companies to enter more than one Consultancy of the Year category, should they fit the criteria. However, to be eligible for these awards companies must have submitted an entry into at least one other category in the programme.

To ensure transparency, the Healthcare Communiquétor category is now open for direct entry – either by individuals themselves or their teams on their behalf.

The programme’s judging criteria have been reviewed to ensure a continued focus on effectiveness. In particular, evidence for successful outcomes against key objectives will be key and the judges will be looking for work that changes attitudes, behaviour or clinical practice, and ultimately improves patient care.

Commenting on the judging process, Gwenan White, UK director of communications at AbbVie, said: “As judges, our shared agenda and our aim, is to be objective and rigorous in the judging process and therefore uphold the integrity and reputation of the awards and ultimately that of the industry.

“My expectations for a process which is thorough, transparent and, at times, challenging, have always been met. The Programme ensures that all entries are respectfully reviewed against the clearly stated objectives for each category.”

The Communiqué Awards 2014 will be presented at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, on July 3, 2014.
