Liberation Communications was among the winners at last night’s Communiqué Awards 2014, taking home the trophy for Communiqué Small Consultancy or Health Team of the Year.
The prize was reward for Liberation after a year of change, during which founding member and managing director Cherry Wood sold the agency to Creston Health in order to step away from the business.
Liberation handled the transition with aplomb, however, pulling together to achieve all the business objectives for 2013. The consultancy also managed 100 per cent staff and client retention and a 14.7 per cent increase in revenue.
“Liberation has come through a major upheaval and not just survived but grown,” said the Communiqué judges. “Dealing with the exit of your founder and parallel sale to a network is a big deal.”
Other finalists in the category include Bedrock Healthcare Communications, inVentiv Medical Communications London and Paradigm Communications.
The Communiqué Awards are run by PMLiVE publishers PMGroup and the awards ceremony took place at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, on July 3, 2014.
