Former AstraZeneca associate director Pete Digger is to join MHP Communications as managing director in November.
In his new position, Digger (pictured right) will have a senior strategic role, roaming across MHP’s public affairs, corporate and health practices, the communications agency said.
He will focus on advising and leading integrated campaigns on behalf of clients, and will report directly to chief executive Gavin Devine.
Digger joins from Good Relations Political, where he was managing director, having previously been associate director of global government affairs and public policy at pharma company AstraZeneca. He has held a number of senior in-house and consultancy roles, including a stint at law firm DLA Piper.
Devine said of Digger: “He becomes part of MHP Communications at an exciting time, as we invest significantly in our teams, build our cross-discipline capabilities, and expand our international presence.”
Digger said he was very pleased to be joining an “exciting, dynamic agency”.
He added: “I look forward to drawing on my past experience in health, public affairs and corporate communications to help produce smart and strategic integrated campaigns for MHP’s clients.”
