Pegasus picked up the prestigious Communications Consultancy of the Year trophy at last night’s Communiqué Awards 2014, having earned the judges’ praise for its focus, authenticity and delivery.

The Brighton, UK-based medical communications agency beat off stiff competition from Virgo Health, which was highly commended, as well as its fellow finalists, MHP Health, Red Door Communications and Ruder Finn UK, to take home the award at the London ceremony.

Now in their 17th year, the Communiqué Awards are run by PMGroup, PMLiVE’s publisher, and recognise and commend excellence and best practice in local, European and international healthcare communications

Pegasus, which was recently recognised as the 22nd best small company to work for by the Sunday Times, last year marked its fifth year of double-digit growth and a 25 per cent in revenue increase helping it reach a total fee income of £6m.

This was achieved thanks to the 70-strong team’s emphasis on insight planning, objective setting, creativity and on-going measurement, all of which ensured they deliver programmes that make a positive difference.

Commenting on the award the Communiqué judges said: “We chose Pegasus because they did everything so well. They were authentic, really focused on forming great client relationships and really driving the change in behaviour that would deliver the objectives that their clients want.”

These clients cover the pharma sector, with the likes of Pfizer, GSK and Bayer, as well as the wider health and wellness space, where Pegasus works for companies such as Lloyds Pharmacy, Danone and Nestlé.
