Celebrating a return to the live Communiqué Awards!

In 2020, a year marked by unprecedented change and a new necessity for adaptability, for the first time, the Communiqué Awards were held virtually and they were a resounding success.

This year, we were delighted to return to the Grosvenor Hotel in London on 1 September to hold our annual Communiqué Awards 2021 in person.

2021 also heralded some big changes for the Communiqué Awards, starting with a new online entry system that streamlined the entire process, making it much simpler for the entrants.

In addition, the judging criteria and entry format for all the Healthcare Communications Awards have been completely changed and now more clearly reflect the criteria that the judges will be looking for.

Louise Dunn, Communications Consultant and Annabelle Sandeman, Global Head of Commercial Strategy, Huntsworth Ltd have been cochairs for the last two years.

Speaking about the changes, they said: “We have both been involved with the Awards for many years and have been excited to be involved in evolving them. Some of these changes have included increasing the diversity of the judging panel to include more representation from inhouse, medical affairs and the charity sector.”

There are also three exciting new categories: Excellence in Medical Affairs – Operations, the Agility and Flexibility Award, and the Leadership Award for Action on Workforce Diversity and Inclusion. These new categories are in line with the more flexible and diverse nature of the environment in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and reflect a greater focus on medical affairs.

As always, we bring you the full results from the 2021 programme. The competition was as fierce as ever and, again, the judges were impressed with the quality of the entries. Congratulations to all our winners, highly commended and finalists!
