Pharmaceutical Market Europe - December 2019

PME December

Sparking the imagination!

It’s Christmas, and all around people are scurrying to decorate their homes and buy that perfect present for that special someone. The big stores have released their Christmas adverts and it’s turkey sandwiches all round at lunchtime in anticipation of the big day.

A very important aspect of this time of year and, indeed, at any time is imagination and creativity. Without it, our ideas will fall flat, our dreams will never take flight and our lives will be be grey and dreary. As you may have guessed from our cover image, in our cover story this month Chris Ross explores the value and the art of imagination and creativity.

As Chris says: “In the rush to get messages to market, we must not allow creativity to become an after-thought. Healthcare communication is about more than facts, figures or delivery channels; it must be engaging, relevant and emotive. And creativity is the bow that holds everything together.”

In this issue, we also look at the CPhI Pharma Industry rankings report for 2019, which provides vital insight into the performance of the main pharmaceutical markets across the globe. The report concludes with the positive news that, looking at the bigger picture, the industry is witnessing a substantial annual growth of around 5.4%, signifying the current stability and potential of pharma heading into 2020.

I hope you enjoy our December issue, and we look forward to bringing you more informative and compelling coverage of the pharma industry in 2020. On behalf of everyone in the team here at PMGroup, I’d like to wish all our readers a very happy and enjoyable festive season!
