Hanover has appointed healthcare communications stalwart Anna Korving as chair of its health practice.

It’s a role that will see her join the agency on a one-day-a-week basis and work closely with Hanover Health’s managing director Andrew Harrison.

He said: “Anna is one of the stand out entrepreneurs and communications leaders in our industry. She joins us at a critical juncture, as we mature into a multi-disciplined health team networked across three offices. We are at the start of an exciting chapter and I am thrilled that Anna has chosen to join us.”

She joins the London-based healthcare comms practice from Publicis, where she most recently served as executive vice present of global business development.

Earlier in her career Korving co-founded Resolute Communications, which was sold to the Publicis Healthcare Communications Group in 2010, after which she continued to run the business within Publicis.

In her new role Korving will work across the Hanover Health business, including its London, Brussels and Dublin offices, with a particular focus on continuing the growth of its UK and international product and corporate communications practice that’s led by director Frances Beves.

Hanover Health grew by over 45% in 2016 to £3.7m revenue and recently made a number of strategic moves, including the launch of a UK and international market access practice.

Korving said: “Hanover Health occupies a very distinct place in the market, bringing together expertise in communications, market access, and policy. This combination of skills means they can solve really complex client needs. “I’m excited to be joining the team at a time of investment and growth – we’re going to make some magic together.”

Korving was last year awarded the prestigious Communiquétor of the Year award and in 2017 will be chair of judges for the Communiqué Awards for the third year running.

Meanwhile, 2016 saw, Hanover Health won the Public Health Communications award at the Communiqué Awards, the Campaign of the Year at the Europa Public Affairs Awards, and – as part of Hanover Group – shared in the EMEA Public Affairs Agency of the Year Award at the Sabre Awards.
